Here is a simple and easy-to-use food inventory form.  We recommend doing a food inventory on a weekly basis.  The inventory should be performed at close on the last business day of the week.

Counting food each week helps you to stay abreast of any emerging problems with food cost.  Food is one of your highest cost items.  Food Cost control must be one of your top priorities.  Establish your weekly routine with the Restaurant Inventory form.
