The restaurant business has its own language. Abbreviations abound.

Terms and phrases are used frequently to shorten the terminology and to imply the meaning of a program, process or form. Its almost as if the restaurant business had its own spoken text messages long before the cell phone came about.

We've attempted to list the most-used restaurant acronyms. However, I'm sure we have missed a few.
